Stranger Things Season 5 Release Date
As we said before, there is no confirmed release date for Stranger Things season 5 at the time of writing, but filming was reportedly set to start in early 2023. But, the Hollywood writers and SAG-AFTRA labor disputes led to a few production push-backs. We can expect the release in late 2024 or early 2025 if production restarts without a snag.

Stranger Things Season 5: Confirmed as the Final Chapter
Yes! Stranger Things Season 5 is in production. Creators of the Duffer Brothers told EW in 2017 that they plotted Stranger Things for four seasons but always left it open to more. In the showrunners, the Duffer Brothers, February 2022, scripted a typewritten open letter (courtesy Netflix) to declare that Season 5 would be its swan song.

Return to Hawkins – The Question Remains: will Stranger Things Season 5 head back to Hawkins and provide an even more epic battle between the Mind Flayer and Vecna combined? With the end of Season 4 and Vecna crushing out his full power, Hawkins is pretty much buggered.
The Upside Down’s growing influence – But the Upside Down is no longer an isolated place in Hawkins. Season 5 will see the series ever-expand outside its small town as fractures in dimension begin to appear all over Earth. And the supernatural elements and entities that populate it’s The Upside Down are now a global terror instead of being secluded in Indiana.
Vecna’s Final Play – One of those artifacts, Vecna, turns Uber-Stated-and-Evil to the pure definition/metaphase that he becomes almost invulnerable. Even though mysticism and physics have combined before, his dimensional dominance has made him one of the most potent threat villains in the gang’s long history.

Of course, the core cast will be returning for its final season. This includes:

Stranger Things Season 5 Trailer Expectations
With delayed filming, it is best to expect a trailer only in 2024, anywhere from mid-to-late. Ordinarily, Netflix releases teasers months before a movie goes live so fans get a little taste of what is dropping.
Previous seasons’ trailers have been grim with chilling Upside Down shots and hints of what is likely to be an explosive battle. Expect even more epic marketing for the final season as we are served mouth-watering teasers of Eleven vs. Vecna & Hawkins IOC.
The Final Showdown
In the final season 5 climax, it is hoped that Vecna and the Hawkins gang will face off in an epic encounter. While allies are made, secrets are revealed, and stakes are raised to greater levels in this last stand, which shows us what each character can do. Hawkins and potentially the world itself will be at stake.
Down the line, a battle between these two feels like it’s been teased at for years, and we want to see emotional fights matched with some excellent action moments.
