Yet another Israeli rabbi spouts racist poison against Arabs
Jewish racists who are saddened by the death of their doyen, Rabbi Yosef Ovadia, will take comfort in the fact that another racist Jewish “man of God”, Dov Lior, the chief rabbi of the squatter colony of Kiryat Arba, near Hebron, is losing no time to fill in his space.
In statements broadcast on the evening of 13 October by Israeli Channel 10 TV, he said although his generation “is charged” with stealing and imposing Jewish sovereignty on the Muslim holy site of Haram al-Sharif in occupied East Jerusalem, he didn’t know “how to get rid of them [Arabs]”.
“We’re not far from seeing the day where our lands are cleansed of terrorists [meaning all Arabs] and their supporters. They can go to Saudi Arabia,” he said.
“I’m not saying we shouldn’t help them from a humanitarian point of view. If need be, we’ll build stables for their camels. In Saudi Arabia. Not here,” the bigot added.
Lior, whose far-right Tekumah party merged with Israeli Industry, Trade and Labour Minister Naftali Bennett’s Jewish Home earlier this year, is no stranger to racist filth. In 2011 he called Arabs “camel riders” and “wolves” who “hate peace”, adding that they should be given the “right of return” to places like Saudi Arabia, the Times of Israel reminds us.
Needless to say, we won’t hear a word of criticism or cries of anti-Semitism – Arabs are Semites, too – from any Western media or politicians.
