With monotonous regularity, hardly a month passes without an Israeli flag waver is appointed to a position of power or influence in Britain, or a Zionist stooge already in authority feels impelled to affirm his allegiance to Israel.

Earlier in the week we reported the appointment of Ian Livingston, an “outspoken supporter of Israel”, as trade and investment minister.

In February we drew attention to James Purnell, a rabid pro-apartheid wall Zionist who believes that all critics of Israel are anti-Semites. He had been put in charge of strategy at Britain’s state broadcaster, the BBC.

Purnell was joined at the BBC by another Israel flag waver, James Harding, who was appointed by BBC chief Tony Hall as Director of BBC News. According to Electronic Intifada, in 2011 Harding spoke at a media event organized by the Jewish Chronicle, telling his audience:

I am pro-Israel. I believe in the state of Israel. I would have had a real problem if I had been coming to a paper [The Times, of which he was editor before taking up his BBC job] with a history of being anti-Israel. And, of course, Rupert Murdoch is pro-Israel.

Now these Israel pimps have been joined by Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, the head of the Church of England and leader of 80 million Anglicans. According to the Times of Israel, Welby, who is currently on a visit to Israel, told his Zionist hosts that Israel is the centre of the world “in so many ways”.

Speaking on 27 June, Welby, whose father is a Jew, told reporters that Israel, which is persecuting Palestinian Christians and Muslims alike, “is the cradle of the three great world faiths. It’s the cradle of our own faith, of the Christian faith. It’s where Jesus lived and walked and died and rose again. It is in so many ways the centre of the world, in so many extraordinary ways.”

It’s hard to believe that the Cambridge-educated Welby, who has a degree in history and law, can be ignorant of the history of the Holy Land and of the criminal nature of the Jews-only state.

Surely, he must know about tthe thousands of villages erased by Israel in order to implant itself in the land of the Palestinian people, the systematic ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, undertaken to make lebensraum for foreign Jews, the criminal occupation of additional Arab territories in the 1967 war and the racist discrimination against non-Jewish citizens of Israel, to mention but a few of the Jews-only state’s crimes. Sadly, he has a historical blind spot as far as the racist pariah state is concerned:

The clear policy of the church and my own very clear emotional feeling is that the state of Israel is a legitimate state like every other state in the world and has a right to exist in security and peace within internationally agreed boundaries.

This “good Christian” it seems, is as alien to justice as a corrupt politician who’s beholden to the Zionist lobby or an amoral chief executive of a multinational corporation who’s driven by greed.

It’s just as well that the popularity of the Church of England is at an all-time low, with the diocese where Welby presides being the least popular of all.
